Find an Arkansas Medical Marijuana Doctor
Book an evaluation with an Arkansas-licensed MD or DO. First visits are in person. Renewals may use telehealth.
Book your evaluation
Use the site’s existing booking or contact options to request an Arkansas medical marijuana doctor evaluation. Tell us whether you are a new patient or renewing, and your preferred in-person city when you reach out. We intend to serve Little Rock, Northwest Arkansas, Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Conway, and Mountain View / Stone County, plus rural communities such as Mountain Home, Batesville, and Heber Springs—only list a clinic appointment once a provider can actually take it.
What an Arkansas certifying physician must have
- MD or DO licensed in Arkansas
- DEA controlled-substance registration
- Good standing with the licensing board
- A bona fide physician-patient relationship
- Willingness to complete the official ADH Physician Written Certification form
ADH does not publish a referral list of physicians. Confirm your qualifying conditions before the visit, then follow how to get a card after certification.
First visit vs renewal (telehealth rules)
Initial certification cannot be done by telemedicine in Arkansas. First visits are in person. Recertification may use telehealth under Act 1112 / 17 CAR § 140-3201. When you renew your card, ask the clinic whether a telehealth slot is available for your case.
What to bring
- Arkansas driver’s license or DMV-issued state ID
- Medical history related to a listed qualifying condition
- The official Physician Written Certification form (or confirm the clinic submits it electronically)
- Prior imaging, medication lists, or specialist notes that support intractable pain or another pathway, if available
Typical evaluation cost
Clinic evaluations typically cost $125–$250, paid to the clinic—not to ADH. The state registry fee is a separate $50. For first-year and renewal totals, see medical marijuana card cost.
After the appointment — applying at ADH
Apply promptly after the physician signs. Do not sit on a signed form. Complete the official ADH application, pay $50, and wait up to 14 days after a complete filing. Card term is up to one year from the ADH issue date. Ozark Medical Care does not issue registry cards.
